Each month, the Reeds Spring School District recognizes one exceptional teacher with an Excellence Award. This month’s deserving winner is Mrs. Caitlyn Dettmer. She’s a sixth-grade teacher at Reeds Spring Intermediate School.
"Caitlyn is top-notch in everything she does,” said Principal Andrea Chavez. “From developing genuine and caring relationships with her students and families to providing engaging and high-quality instruction, she is a true difference maker!"
This is Mrs. Dettmer’s fourth year of teaching at Reeds Spring Schools. One colleague said she has a unique ability to get students excited about writing.
“Her natural enthusiasm and creativity inspire her students to believe in themselves and achieve beyond their expectations,” said ELA Teacher Christy Essary. “We are so lucky to have her!”
