Every month, the Reeds Spring School District recognizes one non-teaching staff member as the Employee of the Month. March’s Excellence Award winner is Lorna Williams. She’s a paraprofessional at Reeds Spring Elementary School and has worked for the district for 18 years.

“Mrs. Williams is relentless at helping students find success academically and mature their social/emotional skills,” said special education teacher Nick Wilson. “In more than one instance, students working directly with Mrs. Williams have shown such positive progress academically and behaviorally/socially to justify drastically changing the students’ special education placements.”

Several co-workers also praised Mrs. Williams for her willingness to help colleagues. She has been described as caring, kind, and selfless.

“She gives me a sense of peace knowing that someone truly enjoys my children and takes the time to get to know them individually,” said parent Apolonia Adams.
