Students in the Healthcare Careers program have been hard at work mastering the skills needed when they complete the practicum portion of their training at Shepherd of the Hills Living Center next semester. Upon completion of this program of study, student's have an opportunity to earn his/her CNA license.
Our SkillsUSA chapter in partnership with The Pooper Troopers of the Ozarks and Harter House locations in Nixa, Hollister, Shell Knob, and Kimberling City collected over 11,000 diapers in support of Pregnancy Lifeline in Branson West.
Students from our EMT program and other members of HOSA from across Missouri recently gathered for a Fall Leadership Conference designed to equip students with leadership skills and knowledge to lead their local chapters. The mission of HOSA is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience.
We were so excited to welcome our afternoon students to TRCC. Reeds Spring Schools Superintendent Dr. Cody Hirschi said it best, “This school will be a beacon of hope for students in our region, providing them with a pathway to a brighter future.”
The groundbreaking for Table Rock Career Center was 1,011 days ago and now a vision for a new career center has become a reality with the opening of our new state-of-the-art facility.
Collision Repair students have gained valuable experience in the paint booth the last few weeks painting metal cabinets that will be used in their new shop at our new state-of-the-art tech center.
Our Healthcare Careers program recently received a generous grant from the Skaggs Foundation. Tammy Parrish, the program's instructor, and TRCC Director Brian Moler, gladly accepted the award which will be used to purchase blood pressure monitors and other equipment used to prepare students for careers in the healthcare industry.
Students in our Auto Technology I class have be hard at work learning about tires and brakes "inside and out."
Members of SkillsUSA helped put together over 2,000 Christmas care packages at Convoy of Hope for U.S. Servicemen and Women serving in Alaska who will not be home for the Holidays this year. Members of SkillsUSA perform over 200 man hours of community service every year.
This might be a sign that were are getting closer every day to opening our new state-of-the-art facility.

The Graphic Design program has been a beehive of activity. The students have been learning about what Adobe Photoshop has to offer in regards to producing banners like the one Bradleyville High School juniors Kimberly Neitzel and Dixie Killman are working on for the Reeds Spring PTO.
Students in the Healthcare Careers program recently toured the emergency room, ambulance bays, intensive care, neurotrauma and trauma units at Cox South in Springfield. After the tours, the students learned about careers in radiology.

EMT students visited the Taney County Ambulance District headquarters and its outlying stations as part of their clinical orientation. These students will complete clinical rotations at TCAD as part of their training.
Early Education Careers students visited Missouri State University on Friday and learned about what MSU's Education Department has to offer. They had an opportunity to sit in on a class, listen to current students in the department, and tour the beautiful campus.
Students in the Culinary Arts program have been hard at work learning various cooking methods. Last week they mastered the art of poaching.
Computer Technology students have been hard at work providing IT support and repairing Chromebooks from Reeds Spring High School.
