Students in Mrs. Noriega's Culinary Arts program have been learning the science of baking. The students conducted experiments with different leavening agents and analyzed how different types add different amounts of trapped air in baked goods.


Mr. Thompson's Computer Technology morning section collected over 160 items during the GTC December Food Drive. As a reward, they were treated to a PIZZA PARTY! All donated items were delivered to Carl's Closet which is a food pantry at Reeds Spring High School that serves people of the community during times of need.
Our staff had an opportunity to tour the Table Rock Career Center construction site. Everyone is so excited to transition into this new state-of-the-art facility in the 2024-2025 school year.

Game on! The GTC Afternoon Christmas Olympics combined the Spirt of the Holiday Season with the Spirit of Competition.

GTC students really showed their generosity to help out the RS food pantry.

Students in the Marine Technology program are learning about different hull designs. The students crafted a hull from 1 inch foam board, wired a series circuit using a 9 volt motor, installed a switch and battery connector, used parts of a Bic pen and made a prop shaft and driveline.
After all students manufactured his/her boats they raced them down a 30 foot rain gutter. Clayton Jones from Blue Eye High School was the champion from the morning block. Lawrence Hopkins from Spokane High School was the champion from the afternoon block.




It was great visiting with a great group of students from Spokane High School this afternoon. There is no way to measure their excitement as they explored all of the great things Table Rock Career Center has to offer in preparing them for so many different career and college paths.

Students in the Health Technology program have been working on oral care skills this week as they prepare for the clinical portion of their program of study at the Shepherd of the Hills Living Center next semester.



Forsyth High School students James Loggins and Chloe Morse from the graphic design program have been hard at work producing items on the program's direct to garment printer.

Sophomores from Hurley High School toured our facilities this afternoon and are excited about the potential opportunities they have as students in one of our 12 programs of study at Table Rock Career Center.

Today, sophomores from Blue Eye High School checked out all of the great options Table Rock Career Center has in helping prepare all students for college, career, and life.

Students in the EMT program have been hard at work mastering the art of patient assessments as they prepare for their clinical rotations with the Taney County Ambulance District.



Students in the Early Childhood Careers Program had an opportunity to visit OTC’s Early Childhood Education Department, Greene Valley State School and Stewart Head Start Center.



SkillsUSA members from Blue Eye, Branson, Forsyth, Galena, and Reeds Spring completed a service project prepping materials to build 50 beds for the Table Rock Lake chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. This great organization is dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch beds to children and families in need.
"NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!"

The foundation is set. The first line has been snapped for the sill plate. It only goes up from here for students in the construction program as they continue the process of building another house.
Students in Culinary Arts have been busy completing a unit on sauces by making a delicious hollandaise sauce.


Galena High School sent over a great group of Sophomores to tour our great programs of study. Even better, this group of students will be some of the very first students to receive a quality Career and Technical Education at the new Table Rock Career Center next year.
