Lady Wolves Second at Galena Basketball Tournament

Reeds Spring High School’s girls basketball team won two of three games in the Galena Lady Bear Classic. The Lady Wolves defeated Galena in the opening round, 73-55. Kalena Asbill led the team with 30 points. In the semifinals, Reeds Spring beat top-seeded Wheaton, 57-46. Asbill and Shelby Strailey each scored 17 points. In the championship game, Forsyth defeated Reeds Spring 65-56. Asbill scored 22 and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Reeds Spring’s varsity wrestlers competed in the Big 8 Conference Tournament on Friday, January 18. The team finished sixth overall. Clayton Johnson won the 170-pound weight class, while Eric Holt was second at 132 pounds. The Wolves also got fourth-place finishes from Tyler Nance at 113 pounds and Cayden Love at 160 pounds.

Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team played three games in the Spokane Invitational. In the opening round, the Wolves lost to Cassville 61-52. Lance Hafar scored 18 points in that game. RSHS then defeated Southwest 60-38. Hafar again led the team in scoring with 21 points. In the consolation bracket championship, Seymour beat Reeds Spring 76-48. Troy Froeschle led the Wolves with 14 points. Lance Hafar was named to the All-Tournament Team.
