Reeds Spring High School senior Kalena Asbill surpassed the 1,000 point mark for her career during last week’s 54-49 girls basketball victory over Forsyth. Asbill scored 15 points in the game for the Lady Wolves. Brooke Davis also had 15 points, and Shelby Strailey added ten. The team’s record is currently 3-2.
The RSHS boys basketball team dropped two games last week. The Wolves lost to Forsyth 74-47. Lance Hafar led the team with 18 points. RSHS also lost to Clever 61-56. Troy Froeschle scored 24 points and Ty Cooper added 13. The varsity record is currently 2-3.
The JV team beat Forsyth 58-46 and defeated Clever 57-54. The freshmen lost to Forsyth and Clever.
Reeds Spring’s wrestling team hosted a quad meet last week. The Wolves won all three matches, defeating McDonald County, Hillcrest, and Springfield Catholic.
At the Carl Junction Classic over the weekend, RSHS finished seventh out of 14 teams. Clayton Johnson won the 170-pound division. Eric Holt was third at 138 pounds, and Gabe Ditzer was fourth at 132 pounds.
