The Reeds Spring R-IV School District Board of Education began reviewing applications for the superintendent vacancy on Wednesday, November 7 during a closed session meeting. The district received 38 applications for the position.
“This is significantly above the average number of applicants and speaks to the reputation and quality of the Reeds Spring School District and community,” said Dr. Paul James, a consultant from the Missouri School Boards’ Association who is assisting with the search.
The board has gathered input from staff, parents, and community members through an online survey and several community forums. The next steps are for the school board to interview finalists, and then vote to select the new superintendent, who will start in July 2019.
