Track Teams First & Third at Republic Relays

The Reeds Spring High School track and field team appears to be hitting its stride. The boys won the Republic Relays last week and the girls finished third.

For the boys, Asa Baker won the shot put, Logen Plumb won the javelin, Colby Dowdy won the 300-meter hurdles, and the 4x400-meter relay team also finished first.

For the girls, Rachel Bagg won the 1600-meter run and the 3200-meter run, and Paige Rantz finished first in pole vault.

The Wolves went 1-2 on the diamond last week. RSHS defeated Springfield Central 11-1. Collin Cross gave up one hit in six innings pitched. Seth Stamps had two hits and three RBI.

Logan-Rogersville beat Reeds Spring 1-0. Noah Briley pitched six innings and gave up just three hits and one earned run.

Bolivar defeated Reeds Spring 6-5. Cross had two hits and three RBI. Logan Chambers gave up one hit in four innings pitched.

At the COC-Small Tournament, Reeds Spring finished sixth overall. Ross McMurdo shot a 95, Josh Green a 96, and Tyler Brakhane a 103. The Wolves will compete in the district tournament this week.

The boys tennis team lost to Logan-Rogersville 6-3 and beat Mount Vernon 9-0.
