Five Reeds Spring Teams Advance to Destination Imagination State Tournament

Five teams from the Reeds Spring School District advanced to the Destination Imagination State Tournament, after competing at a regional tournament in Carl Junction on March 3.

Destination Imagination is a creative problem-solving competition that culminates in a global competition in May. Students from more than 40 countries compete every year.

The Reeds Spring Middle School team of Denver Rayner, Fralynn Fredrick-Patten, Emilee Dees, Carter Bridges, Jett Phipps, and Harrison Sifford won the Middle-Level Technical Challenge.

The RSMS team of Shylee Gasper, Connor Provenzano-Reid, and Evan Hefner earned second place in the Middle-Level Improvisational Challenge.

RSMS's Piper Megellas, Anna Caravella, Trinity Boyd, Madilyn Irvin, Elizabeth Murray, and Lily Bolt won the Middle-Level Fine Arts Challenge.

The Reeds Spring High School team of Pete Harmon, Rachel Bagg, Rebekah Settles, Justin Bible, Brady Hefner, and Marshall Megellas earned second place in the Senior-Level Technical Challenge.
 
The RSHS team of Shelby Thompson, Michael Shepard, Donnie Hunt, Kaylie Parker, Riley Blair, and Tommy Diem finished second in the Senior-Level Technical Challenge and first place in the Instant Challenge. 

The state tournament will be held April 7 in Joplin.
