Lady Wolves Third at Galena Tournament

The Reeds Spring High School girls basketball team finished third at the Galena Basketball Tournament, held January 18-20.
 
In the opening round, the Lady Wolves defeated RUSH, a team of home-schooled athletes, 74-66. In the semifinals, Wheaton defeated Reeds Spring 62-50. In the third-place game, the Lady Wolves beat Forsyth 54-44.
 
Kalena Asbill and Shelby Strailey were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Boys Basketball
The Wolves competed in the Spokane Invitational Tournament last week. In the opening round, Spokane beat Reeds Spring 46-40. Lane Carroll led the Wolves with 13 points. In the second game, Reeds Spring beat Galena 71-57. Logen Plumb scored 25 points and Carroll added 12. In the fifth-place game, the Wolves defeated Marionville 57-36. Plumb had 21 points and Carroll added 16. 
 
Plumb and Carroll were both named to the All-Tournament Team.

Wrestling
The RSHS wrestling team competed in the COC-Small Tournament last weekend. The Wolves finished sixth overall but received a first-place finish from Eric Holt in the 120-pound weight class. Clayton Johnson was second at 170 pounds, and Shane Thompson third at 113 pounds.
