Bagg Finishes 6th at State Cross Country Championship

Reeds Spring High School senior Rachel Bagg finished sixth at the Class 3 State Cross Country Championship, held November 4 in Jefferson City.

Bagg ran a 5k (five kilometers) in 19:57. This is the third straight year that Bagg has qualified for the state meet, and this was her best finish.

RSHS junior Declan Brown also competed at the state meet. He finished 70th out of 167 runners, with a time of 17:56.

The 2017 season ended for the Wolves in the district championship game, falling to Mt. Vernon, 30-28. Dakota Romesburg returned an interception for a touchdown, Austin Staugaard caught a touchdown pass from Blake Gronvold, Davaughn Irvin returned a kickoff for a touchdown, and Kelly Newton had a touchdown run.

The Wolves ended the season with a record of 9-3.
