Wolves to Play for Football Conference Title

The Reeds Spring High School football team improved to 6-2 on the season with a win last week against Buffalo. The Wolves will host Springfield Catholic on Friday, October 13 with the Central Ozark Conference Small Division Championship on the line. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
The final score against Buffalo was 49-6. Kelly Newton rushed for 198 yards on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns. Blake Gronvold rushed for 134 yards on 16 carries and also scored two touchdowns. Newton and Ben Moler also each had an interception. Moler returned his interception for a touchdown.
The season ended for the Lady Wolves last week with a loss to West Plains in the district tournament, 9-1. The varsity team finished with a record of 15-9 and the JV team was 12-2-2.
Cross Country
At the Conway Invitational, the RSHS boys finished third overall. Freshman Ethan Gordon won the JV race.
Last week, the Lady Wolves defeated Bolivar on Senior Night. The JV and freshmen teams competed in a tournament in Hollister over the weekend. Both teams finished fifth.
