The Reeds Spring High School girls tennis team ended the season with a loss to Forsyth in the district team tournament. During the individual tournament, junior Kennzie Cockrell placed fourth overall in singles competition, earning a medal. The Lady Wolves finished the regular season with a record of 4-7.
The RSHS football team defeated Marshfield 48-14. Quarterback Blake Gronvold had 179 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Austin Staugaard finished with 95 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Ben Moler led the defense with seven tackles, including a sack. The Wolves host Buffalo on Friday, October 6.
The Lady Wolves lost to Parkview and Marshfield last week but rebounded to defeat Springfield Catholic. The JV team beat Parkview and Catholic but fell to Marshfield. The freshmen lost to both Parkview and Marshfield.
The softball team beat Buffalo 9-3 but lost to Hillcrest and Kickapoo. The JV team also beat Buffalo but lost to Hillcrest and tied Kickapoo. The district tournament begins on Wednesday, October 4 against West Plains.
At the Lamar Invitational, Rachel Bagg finished second in the girls' race. Declan Brown finished seventh in the boys' race, and the Wolves placed eighth overall out of 25 teams.
