Lady Wolves Tennis Team Defeats Kickapoo

The RSHS tennis team defeated Kickapoo 7-2 last Thursday. The Lady Wolves had wins in singles matches from Lauren Hustead, Kennzie Cockrell, Taylor Bullis, Kayla Coffelt, Trinity Werner, and Sydney Bookhout. RSHS also won one doubles match.

The Wolves rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat Logan-Rogersville,  53-14.  Kelly Newton rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Blake Gronvold rushed for two touchdowns and threw two touchdown passes. Logen Plumb and Seth Stamps had the touchdown receptions. Stamps also returned an interception for another touchdown. The Wolves host Springfield Central for Homecoming on Friday, September 15 starting at 7:00 p.m.

The Lady Wolves lost matches to Aurora and Carthage. The JV team beat Aurora and the freshmen team tied Carthage.

The softball team improved to 9-1 with victories over Marshfield and Glendale. The Marshfield score was 10-0 and the Glendale score was 11-0. The JV team also won both games to improve to 7-0-1.

Cross Country
The RSHS runners competed at Carthage last week. Claire Hornibrook finished 19th for the girls. Cole Weydert was 18th for the boys.
