Wolves Finish 2nd at State Track & Field Championships

Reeds Spring High School won four gold medals, one silver, and two bronze medals at the Class 3 State Track and Field Championships, held May 26-27 in Jefferson City. The Wolves finished second overall, just two points behind John Burroughs School.

Senior Korey Robinette won the 200-meter dash and finished second in the 100-meter dash. Senior Ranson Allphin won the 110-meter hurdles and finished third in the 300-meter hurdles. Senior Xavier McDaniel won the shot put. The 4x100-meter relay team of Allphin, Robinette, Colter Whitten, and Keenan Haynes also won. The 4x200-meter team of Allphin, Robinette, Haynes, and Kelly Newton finished third. Newton also competed in the long jump and Darrin Rathburn competed in shot put.

On the girls' side, Tara Sampson was fourth in high jump. Rachel Bagg finished eighth in the 3200-meter run, and several other Lady Wolves competed at state, including Izzy Erickson, Hannah Erickson, Jewell Dover, and Abby Rudd.
