Carroll's Shot in Closing Seconds Lifts Wolves to Victory

Lane Carroll hit a game-winning shot with less than ten seconds left to propel Reeds Spring High School's boys basketball team to a 48-47 victory over Mount Vernon last week. Carroll had 23 points overall. The win improved the Wolves' record to 5-2. Earlier in the week, RSHS defeated Crane 70-62. Carroll had 22 points in that victory while Logen Plumb added 17.

The JV team also defeated Crane and Mount Vernon to improve its record to 3-1. The freshmen beat Crane, Galena, and Mount Vernon to even their record at 5-5.

Girls Basketball
Last week the Lady Wolves fell to Cassville, 50-20. Carley Reeves-Eakins scored five points and grabbed ten rebounds while Kalena Asbill added five points and six rebounds. The team then defeated Marionville 50-13. Kerri Lynn Johnson led the way with 16 points and six rebounds. The next night, Seymour defeated Reeds Spring 46-40. Johnson had ten points and seven rebounds while Asbill added eight points and nine steals.  

The Wolves lost three dual matches last week, to Eldon, Buffalo, and School of the Osage. The JV team competed in the McDonald County Tournament. Britten Dover finished second in the 160-pound weight class. Tanner Teague was second at 170 pounds and Garrett Ditzer was third at 113 pounds.
