Wolves Continue Winning Ways

The Reeds Spring High School boys and girls basketball teams have each started the season with four wins and two losses. Last week, the boys defeated Aurora, 57-48 behind 19 points from Lane Carroll and 18 points from Logen Plumb. The Wolves then lost to Lebanon, 60-51. Carroll and Austin Bradfield each scored 14 points in that loss.
 
The Lady Wolves defeated Forsyth, 56-54 on a last-second shot by Shelby Strailey. Carley Eakins led the team with 11 points and 11 rebounds. The team lost to Aurora the next night, 61-35. Kalena Asbill had 12 points, five rebounds, six assists, and seven steals. The girls rebounded to beat Galena, 50-30. Eakins led the team with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
 
 
The boys JV team beat Aurora and lost to Lebanon. The girls JV team beat Forsyth and Galena. The freshmen boys team beat Aurora but lost to Bolivar and Lebanon.
 
The wrestling team defeated Springfield Catholic and Springfield Hillcrest. The Wolves also competed in the Carl Junction Tournament. Conner Shafer placed third in his weight class,as did Clayton Johnson. Bowen Gade finished fourth in his weight class.
