RSHS Sports Roundup for April 25-30

The Reeds Spring High School track team set two school records at the Republic Relays on Thursday, April 28.
Hunter Flett ran the 100-meter dash in 10.78 seconds, good for the school record and first place at the meet.
The 4x100 relay team of Flett, Korey Robinette, Colter Whitten, and Keenan Haynes also finished first and set a school record with a time of 42.65. 
The boys team finished sixth overall at the meet, and the girls finished eighth overall, with the 4x800 girls relay team finishing first.
The JV track team competed at Branson, with the boys finishing sixth and the girls seventh. Claire Hornibrook won the 3200-meter run and Austin Bradfield was second in the discus throw and shot put.
The Wolves fell to Rogersville 9-5 last week but rebounded to defeat Crane 1-0. Jareb Grinder's double scored Collin Cross for the game's only run. Noah Briley pitched five scoreless innings and Craig Foster pitched the last two innings to earn the save. The Wolves are currently 8-9 on the season.
The JV team lost to Rogersville 8-3 but defeated Crane 3-2. The freshmen baseball team beat Rogersville 8-5 to improve its record to 10-3 on the season.
The boys tennis team defeated Rogersville 6-3. Harley Caudill, Dyllan Harris, Joel Gertson, and Carson Hewitt won singles matches. The doubles teams of Caudill and Harris and Gertson and JP Gardner also won.
Mt. Vernon defeated Reeds Spring a few days later, 6-3. Gertson and Hewitt won singles matches and Gertson and Gardner won their doubles match.
The Wolves finished fifth in the COC Tournament. The team score was 400, with Adam Taylor shooting the lowest individual score with a 97.
