Reeds Spring Schools Recognized for 1:1 Implementation

The Reeds Spring School District’s successful implementation of a 1:1 computing technology program has been recognized by the authors of a book.

Personalized Learning, A Guide for Engaging Students with Technology used Reeds Spring as an example of how schools can start a 1:1 program.

The case study covers how Reeds Spring began researching this program in 2011, and how teachers received professional development for nine months before students received their devices in 2013.

The district frequently conducts walkthroughs and evaluations to ensure the technology is being used to keep students engaged and to encourage deeper learning.

Currently, all students in the high school, middle school, intermediate school, and primary school have individual devices. Next year, all elementary school students will also receive devices.
