Reeds Spring Student Competes at National Speech & Debate Tournament

Senior Ethan Greiner finished in the top 100 of two categories at the 2015 National Speech & Debate Tournament, which took place June 15-19 in Dallas.

Greiner, from Kimberling City, ranked in the top 60 of Humorous Interpretation, and the top 85 in Poetry.

"Walking into nationals, I knew that being there was a great achievement,” Greiner said. “Then, breaking two school records was pretty cool, too!"

Speech and Debate Coach Sonya Hohnstein said, “The speech and debate team had an outstanding year! Ethan worked tirelessly to perfect every aspect of his performance pieces for nationals. He is a talented student and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for him."

2015 Reeds Spring High School graduate Delaney Pozek also traveled to Dallas as an alternate.
