Administrative Assistant Earns Excellence Award

An administrative assistant is often the first person someone sees when they enter a school. Students, parents, and staff members at Reeds Spring Primary School are grateful that Teresa Dahms fills that role. Dahms has earned September’s Excellence Award at Reeds Spring Schools.

“I have never seen Teresa without a smile on her face. She is fast at responding to emails or answering questions in person,” said parent Terra Crossland. “She makes me feel comfortable and I can feel her love for the students and the families.”

Dahms has worked for Reeds Spring Schools for 12 years. She spent three years in the Early Childhood Center before becoming the Primary School’s administrative assistant.

“Teresa is willing to go the extra mile to make sure our students get to the right destination for the buses and she makes sure all the teachers and staff have what they need. She is amazing at what she does and so efficient,” said school nurse Sherry Larson.

This year, Reeds Spring Schools renamed its Employee of the Month Award and opened the nomination process to students, staff, parents, and the community. Multiple people nominated Dahms, showing how important she is to the school.

“Teresa always goes above and beyond in her attention to detail and organization. We are so blessed to have her,” said Parents as Teachers educator Jenny Tinnes.

“Teresa has been incredibly helpful and responsive! She’s always kind and patient. She is an excellent staff member,” added a parent.
