The Reeds Spring School District recently earned two awards from the Missouri School Public Relations Association, one for Best Electronic Newsletter and one for Best Video.
Reeds Spring sends an email newsletter to all parents every Sunday night to keep them informed about the positive things happening in the schools and to stay up to date with all of the upcoming events.
One of the judges for Best Electronic Newsletter wrote, “What a great opportunity for the district to not only promote what's happening in the halls but how it positively impacts the community as a whole. This newsletter meets the information needs and interests of the intended audience.”
The Best Video entry is called Mothers, Daughters, Coworkers. It tells the story of several mothers and daughters who work together for the Reeds Spring School District. One judge wrote, “This video's intention was to evoke emotion and instill trust in the district. It met those needs and the interest of the audience.”
MOSPRA President Kelly Wachel said, “The MOSPRA Communications Awards Program not only recognizes exemplary school public relations programs but also provides valuable feedback from public relations professionals to help our members continue to improve their work. Congratulations to this year’s honorees on this well-deserved recognition.”
