Board Election Filing Info

The Reeds Spring School District will accept Declarations of Candidacy forms from persons interested in running for a three-year term on the School Board in the April 4, 2017, election.
 
A Legal Notice, announcing filing information for this election, was published in the Branson Tri-Lakes News on November 12, 2016, and will be published in the Stone County Gazette on Friday, December 1, 2016.

Filing WILL BEGIN on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at 8:00 am, and will end on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at 5:00 pm.  Interested persons will file in person at the Superintendent's Office located in the Administrative Offices at the rear of the Reeds Spring High School, 20281 State Hwy 413, Reeds Spring, MO. Persons may file during regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, on days when school is in session.  Filing will not occur on days that the school district offices are closed due to inclement weather or between the hours of noon (12:00 pm) on December 22, 2016, through January 3, 2017, when the district offices will be closed for the holidays, or other special events (notice will be posted).
 
There are three (3) positions available with a three-year term each.  The name of each candidate will be placed on the ballot in the order of filing.  Filing will not be accepted online or begin prior to 8:00 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
 
NOTE:  If elected, the Board candidate must be able to attend the first meeting after the election, which is a Special Reorganization Board Meeting scheduled for April 7, 2017, at 7:00 a.m., to take an Oath of Office.  Reorganization and election of officers will also be conducted at that time.
