Mrs. Sydney Calzaretta Named Teacher of the Month

The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library honored Mrs. Sydney Calzaretta as September’s Teacher of the Month.

Calzaretta teaches special education at Reeds Spring Elementary School. Principal Laura Weber said Calzaretta is highly respected by students, parents, and staff.

"Sydney has a gift for making everyone feel welcome while maintaining an organized environment for her students,” Weber said. “According to her peers, Sydney has a true love for working with special needs children. She teaches them to face and overcome their challenges while striving to be their very best. She truly believes there are no limits for her students and runs her classroom with patience and kindness.”

This is Calzaretta’s second year working for the Reeds Spring School District. She is also a Reeds Spring graduate.

"Sydney works diligently to meet the unique and challenging needs of her students by persevering, maintaining a positive attitude, and utilizing her problem‐solving skills on a daily basis,” Weber said. “She’s an advocate for her students and continuously works with classroom teachers, the district, and the community to create meaningful experiences for her students.”
