The Reeds Spring School Foundation invested in 32 recent high school graduates by providing them with $64,500 worth of scholarships to help with their postsecondary education expenses.
"Anytime you can be a part of something positive that benefits students and our future, it just feels good," said school foundation chairperson Terri Tucker.
The money was raised primarily through Pack Night, the foundation's annual fundraiser at The Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction. $64,500 is the most the foundation has ever raised and 100% goes to students. The scholarships range from $500-$6,000. Students must complete an application and interview for the opportunity to receive a scholarship.
"The future for the Class of 2017 is burning brightly. The world will change and become brighter one student at a time," Tucker said.
