The Missouri Accreditation of Programs for Children and Youth has awarded a Certificate of Accreditation to the Reeds Spring Early Education Center Full-Day program (RSEEC-FD). This certificate is granted to quality programs that offer developmentally appropriate experiences in an environment conducive to children flourishing intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
"We're excited that we have reached our accreditation," said RSEEC-FD Director Wende Jones. "It will help us raise the standard of all the things we do here so we can help serve the children better."
RSEEC-FD is a state-licensed facility that operates year-round. It is open Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. for children from birth through age five.
The accreditation process took more than two years. Jones said the staff discovered many ways to improve.
"This has made our facility safer for the children. It ensures the curriculum is appropriate for each age level and ensures we have teachers who are qualified," Jones said.
